You may be wondering what Gray Light is… Both in name and in meaning. Essentially, the Gray Light is the first and last hour of each day. It is when we as outdoorsmen find 90% of the trophies we will ever get the chance to hunt. Essentially, the first moments of gray are the only chance we have to really find a giant buck or bull.
Most seasoned hunters understand that a truly mature animal won’t get caught flatfooted in the open in broad daylight. Most mature animals bed before the sun comes up and do not get out of bed until way after the sun has gone down. With this in mind, I have always hunted or fished in the Gray Light and what better name to place on what we do outdoors!
